Realme isn’t just sticking to its guns when it comes to releasing new devices; the six-month release cycle is live and kicking despite the effects posed by the current pandemic. Today, the company has unveiled yet another device that has some interesting features to offer on a budget. Realme 7 is poised to be amongst our favorites when it comes to screen quality with above average refresh rate of 90Hz.
Details on availability here in Kenya are still scanty but the handset has already been priced in other regions like India and is expected to go on sale within the week with the base model offering 6GB RAM and 64GB internal for about Ksh. 22,000 and the superior model packing 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage for Ksh. 25,000.
What you should look forward
Without going into all the nitty gritty, Realme 7 is offering some great features for the price. To start off, the handset packs the latest Midiatek Helio G95 processor that should guarantee excellent performance as well as longer battery life.
We love the fact that a 90Hz panel was used instead of the traditional 60Hz panel at Full-HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution. Users should experience smooth scrolls, great gaming experience and generally a faster interface. I understand dust is just settling on the current Realme 6 which was unveiled in the country just a few days ago, but something tells me, you’ll be better off holding for a while until the 7 is finally here.
Besides a great 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate there’s a punch-hole cutout housing a 16MP (f/2.0) sensor, at the top left. The rear panel is flagged off with a quad-camera setup that combines a primary 64MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens.
As expected, you’ll be getting the goodness of android 10 of course with Realme UI out of the box and the phone should last a full day with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 30W Dart charging. Essentially, you can reach full capacity within 65minutes down from zero percent.
